Camp begins Monday June 21st, 2010 and runs until Thursday July 29th, 2010.
Attend Camp for as many of those weeks as you want.

There will be two different groups to choose from:
(Please note: The only things different between the two groups is the days of the week the classes meet.)

Megan Avery, Instructor & Owner of M Avery Designs, started her handbag company in 2001. After creating and selling her handmade handbags for over 3 years, she began teaching her secrets to the public in the form of Handbag workshops to adults and kids. Today her studio is host to regular after school fashion accessory design classes at both the Hudson School and Hoboken Charter School, as well as weekly fashion accessory classes open to the public. In addition, Megan hosts numerous crafty bridal shower, birthday & girls night out celebrations at her inspiring studio. The M Avery Designs "Make your Own Handbag Workshop" was featured on NBC's Today Show. More about Megan
Kate Rockland has taught preschool in Hoboken for four years. She is a Hoboken resident and her favorite thing to sew is baby quilts! When Kate's not teaching or sewing, she's writing. Her novel "Falling is Like This" is in book stores everywhere.

Age 8-10

Fashion Lab Summer Camp is Hoboken's only day camp for youth age 8-10 teaching basic machine sewing, fashion design & crafting skills.

Students focus on learning sewing machine usage, threading and machine maintenance, basic sewing skills, in addition to basic fashion design techniques used in creating some of todays cutting edge fashion designs.

Each two hour class is project oriented and each student leaves each class with their finished wearable projects.
The class will be led by two instructors and the class size will be small with a max of 8 students per session.

At the end of the six-week session, parents & families will be invited to the studio for a Fashion Runway Show showcasing all of the completed projects.

Group 2 Fashion Show is Thurs. July 29th 4pm
