Q. Is there somewhere on the site where I can see the dimensions and specifications of each bag?

A. Of course, use the handy drop down menu that lists all the different bag styles. Choose the bag style you are interested in finding more about. Each page lists the corresponding bag dimensions below the description.

Q. Can I personalize a bag with pockets, zippers, wooden handles, etc.?

A. Definitely! When you order a customized bag, you have the option of adding all kinds of customizations to your creation.

Q. What is the cost of shipping?

A.
Domestic Shipping cost is $6 for up to 1 lb, $7.50 for up to 2 lbs, $10.50 for up to 3 lbs, $13.50 for up to 4 lbs & $16 for up to 5 lbs. For international shipments please review all International Ordering Instructions below.

International Shipping cost is $15 for up to 1 lb, $20 for up to 2 lbs, $25 for up to 3 lbs, $30 for up to 4 lbs & $35 for up to 5 lbs.

Q. Do you sell handbags in wholesale?

A. Yes, If you have a tax ID number and certify that you are going to sell the bags in you store or business, you are entitled to my wholesale prices. Send us an email for all the details.

Q. How long does it take to get the bag once you order?

A. All Readymade Bags ship within 2-3 business days. All Custom Made Bags ship two weeks following your order. All Custom Made Bags using equilter.com customized fabrics ship three weeks following your order.

Q. Can you custom make a bag for me if I provide the fabric?

A. Yes definitely! Send the fabric to us and we will be more than happy to make a bag out of any fabric you provide to me. The cost will be reduced by 10% off the custom made price. Send us an email to get started.

Q. What if, by some freak chance, I don't like any of the vast assortment of fabrics on the site, but I really want a M. Avery Designs Bag?

A. Not diggin' the fabric choices? Check out http://www.equilter.com and choose from their HUGE assortment of fabrics. All M. Avery Designs items can be custom made from any of these fabrics. Just type the fabric name and Product Identification # in the fabric box when you order.
Please note there is an additional charge of $5 for any fabrics $10 per yard and under. There is an additional charge of $10 for any fabrics over $10 per yard.

Q. Do I have to pay sales tax for my purchase?

A. If you live in New Jersey or are having the bag shipped to anywhere in New Jersey, you will have to pay 6.0% sales tax. If you don't live in NJ, you pay no sales tax.

Q. If I have a design of a bag in my head, can you make the bag for me if I describe it to you?

A. Sure, no problem. You can either send a descriptive email of what your design looks like, or you can fax, email or mail a sketch and if we feel confident we can make it well, we will be happy to create the bag of your dreams.

Q. Can I pay with a Personal Check?

A. Sure, but we cannot send your bag out to you until I have received your check and it has cleared with the bank.

Q. What types of fabrics do you use?

A. Most of the fabrics featured on our site are cotton unless they are specified otherwise in the name. For Bridal orders, we use an assortment of silks, satins, brocades and other fabrics.

Q. What are the bags lined with?

A. All bags are lined with either a matching cotton or matching satin fabric. If you have a preference, please let us know in the fabric box on the item page.

Q. Are the bags stiff enough to stand up by themselves?

A. Yes, all the bags are lined with layers of interfacing that make them stiff. If they have a flat bottom they are able to stand up. The larger bags are made sturdier with either plastic canvas or a a folded layer of interfacing between the layers of the bottom pieces. This makes them sturdier/stiffer and more durable. We also use bag feet on the bottom of most of our larger designs to help them to stand up on their own and to prevent the fabric from getting dirty.

Q. What is your Return Policy?

A.We will be glad to make an exchange or send a refund (minus shipping costs) for any M. Avery Designs items you are not completely happy with. Item(s) must be returned within 8 business days of the shipping date. Items returned after 8 business days are elgible for store credit if returned within 2 months of ship date. Merchandise must be unworn, in perfect condition and in it's original packaging. If you intend to return an order, please first call us at (201)876-1198 to notify M. Avery Designs that a package is being returned and when we can expect it. Specially customized (customized patchwork, changed designs, added pockets or flaps, etc.) items are purchased with a - No Return - Policy. In certain cases you may recieve credit for the cost of the item. All Sale items & Bridal Orders are final. Shipping and handling on returned merchandise is non-refundable
